Wine. This is definitely the most common offering from party guests. Some may argue that it is a little boring but just think, no one has ever been unhappy to be given a bottle. You should make your wine gifts a little more personal though by selecting one that you enjoy yourself or a wine that you picked up on holiday. This will show that the gift is a little more thoughtful and plus it will have a story that you can talk about.

Dinnerware. Not many people think to give dinnerware as a gift unless it is a complete set, which is a little too much for a party present. Don’t think you have to buy a whole set however, there are lots of stand-alone items which are very useful. Why not go for a nice serving plate, champagne cooler or fruit bowl.

Quirky gifts. If you fancy offering something out of the norm, opt for some that is cheap and fun. These are often good fun and because they are not expensive, they can be thrown out without too much guilt on their part. How about some light-up ice cubes that people can put in their drinks, or alternatively glass markers which people can stick on their drink so that they remember which one is theirs. Its more the gesture that counts with party gifts so whatever you do, don’t spend too much time worrying about it
